Local Radio Is Back
97.1 BOB-FM brings together an extraordinary depth of experience, led by John Pohlman, Juvetta Slane, Jack Oliver, Barbara Baan and Lyman James—five familiar names whose decades in Wichita broadcasting represent a remarkable legacy of leadership, achievement and community connection.
They’re joined by an accomplished staff with expertise across several successful sales and management groups, delivers compelling programming and award-winning on-air talent at some of the market’s top-rated stations. Trusted by listeners and respected by advertisers and industry peers, this team shares a clear commitment: to keep local radio genuinely local.
At a time when consolidation, automation and imported national programming too often put distance between stations and the communities they serve, 97.1 BOB-FM is investing in the people, relationships and local knowledge that make radio matter—delivering familiar voices, compelling, locally originated entertainment, and a customer focused sales team that strives to develop creative, affordable marketing solutions for the businesses we serve.
